Hello.

It might be a bit stupid/noobish to ask..but what are those buttons that lots of people have on GW?

If you go to your menu, just drag out the log out or any other option there.

It's like a desktop shortcut.

Those are from the options menu. It's so you don't have to open options for the same things all the time. To get them, open your options and then drag and drop the icon for what ever you want.
